OSHA Rules for Forklift Training and Operation
- It is not allowed to ride directly on the forks of a truck.
- Elevated forklift parts are too high for anyone to stand or walk.
- Forklift trucks may not be used by unauthorized people.
- Only passengers may ride on forklifts that are designed to transport them.
A certified instructor must conduct basic and advanced training. Instructors must have the experience, knowledge, and training to teach operators and assess their abilities. Each training course must include instruction and practice, on-site or off-site, as well as an evaluation of trainee performance.

Companies must establish safety rules for their employees and work environment due to the dangers associated with forklifts. These are some of the rules:
- Establishing speed limits
- Proper signage is required to mark forklift lanes
- Drivers must yield for pedestrians
- All intersections require drivers to honk their horns
- Keep away from forklifts and ramps.
- Slow down, take turns slowly, and do so safely
- Always stop before going into reverse
- Making seatbelts mandatory
Our Courses
COUNTER BALANCE
Counterbalance Forklift can also be called the Sit-Down Counterbalance or Tow-Motor. This forklift is used in loading and unloading freight from and to transport trucks.
NARROW AISLE/ REACH LIFT
Expert Forklift Training's Reach Forklift Operator Training Course teaches you how to inspect forklifts, safely operate them, and how to move the machine.
ORDER PICKER
The narrow aisle truck family includes the Order Picker, also called the Cherry Picker. This truck can be used to lift the operator to and from rack locations.
DOCK STOCKER
A Dockstocker is a counterbalanced truck that allows the operator to stand while operating the machine.
PALLET WALKIE RIDER
According to MOL regulations, every employer must ensure that its employees are properly trained and certified before they can operate an electric Walkie-Talkie (Pallet Truck).
ARIAL BOOM LIFT TRUCK
Aerial Boom Lift is also known as Genie Boom. Expert Forklift Training's aerial boom lift training courses are OHSA-based and cover the various types of aerial platforms
SCISSOR LIFT
We offer Scissorlift certification and training in Brampton. The MOL Regulation that every employer has its employees.
WORKING AT HEIGHTS
Working at Height Training outlines the requirements for training programs that are submitted to the Chief Prevent Officer (CPO), for approval.
FIRST AID TRAINING
The CPR and First Aid training course is a two-day comprehensive course that covers first aid, CPR for infants, adults, and children, as well as proper use of AEDs.
WHMIS TRAINING
WHMIS stands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. Ontario Ministry of Labour requires all employers to train their employees in the GHS WHMIS system.
